What you’ll be doing...

As a member of the Fiber Access Engineering Solutions Team, you have a unique opportunity to be a part of a strategic team in a fast-paced and evolving environment that delivers business impacts. Working in close partnership with internal business partners including Wireline Engineering, IT, PMO, Process and other teams from all Verizon Lines of Business (VzW, VzB, VZT, VPS) to design, deliver and implement 1Fiber across Verizon.

  • Interact with IT on vendor access support.
  • Automation of vendor onboarding from a systems perspective ie: SeeBurger, VZ-3GIS, CoFEE.
  • Support the 1Fiber Engineering team in the delivery of KPIs such as fiber miles, sites passed and open for sale.
  • Align with Conversion team on vendor interaction related to challenges of file delivery and the transition to the VZ-3GIS system.
  • Understand 1Fiber market build progress reporting and data.
  • Track and perform analysis on issues impacting ingestion of vendor file delivery.
  • Track Market ODN build status and network readiness.
  • Ensure alignment on build metrics between the field and IT reporting, driving to resolution as issues arise..
  • Engage with build vendors to understand challenges and drive to root cause resolution.
  • Understand business intelligence and analytics.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with short timelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of end users.
  • Ability to perform and participate in a team oriented environment.
  • Experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite tools.
  • Experience with networking technologies including fiber, ODN, GIS or ESRI based databases.
  • Experience in Fiber/Telecom technologies.
  • SAFe agile training or PMP Certification.
