What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a brand strategist to find ways to further enhance the branding of Verizon’s products and service within our Consumer and Marketplace Insights team. You will be driving change by linking brand performance and communication insights to drive brand strategy. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with Directors and VPs of Brand Strategy, Communications, Media Planning, Marketing Effectiveness and all parts of the CMI team. You will need to be forward-thinking to anticipate future trends and success of a product or service.

  • Designing and completing research programs and methods, both qualitative and quantitative, to address business needs; articulating rationale and tying to creative briefs.
  • Managing research agencies and work-flow to ensure quality and accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely completion of projects.
  • Synthesizing data from multiple sources and translating findings into actionable consumer insights and recommendations.
  • Operating in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving tech environment, requiring the use of influence and persuasion cross-functionally.
  • Contributing to a culture of innovation by finding new and better ways of doing things: identifying, creating and employing innovative research and operational approaches
  • Balancing creative, analytical and strategic thinking in order to deliver ideas and concepts that differentiate Verizon from the competition.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Consumer market research experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • A mix of research vendor/agency and client side experience.
  • Strong project management skills- ability to prioritize among multiple parts of the business and projects.
  • Experience in strategic planning.
  • Knowledge of SPSS / SQL.
  • Ability to be a self-starter, with demonstrated effectiveness of consultative skills, brand and advertising expertise.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Extensive experience and genuine interest in ads, strategy, insights and people.
