What you’ll be doing...

Directs global team of People Leaders whom are responsible for assessing all complex and custom engagements for GSO and managing the presale Global Labor Solutions engagements for the Professional Services Practices. Drives Converged Services labor quoting and process development in support of GSO Advanced Labor.

The Associate Director’s strategic purpose is leading a team to deliver value to answer custom delivery and service model requirements based on deliverables and required business outcomes. The responses delivered require expert knowledge of the stakeholder business environments and must align to OPD business rules for meeting financial management expectations. The AD provides overall governance to ensure global consistency and accuracy in the artifacts the team delivers which become incorporated into executive management expense projections. The team supports pre-sales service solution support for customers across its global Verizon portfolio. The Associate Director drives for continual improvement in assessment through automation and simplification to remove complexity and drive expense out of the business. The successful candidate ensures that that the team interacts frequently with internal partners, including Verizon’s overlay and PS specialized services sales and support teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensures profitability of Verizon services by providing governance to business rules.
  • Manages expenses to budget with expectation on continuous expense improvement
  • Leads a global team to provide deliverable based assessments of transition planning, operations, design support, governance, methods, procedures and service level performance.
  • Drives expectation that team responses can be successfully delivered and operation functions met.
  • Fosters an environment for exchange of ideas and action for change
  • Makes judgment calls on customer solutions
  • Encourages collaboration among internal/External parties to validate solution components to optimize costs to drive more revenue for Verizon
  • Enhances the value of the team with performance objectives and development to prepare for new services and technologies
  • Collaborates with product development and finance to provide cost basis for Day 1 and Day 2 standard support services.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree orMBA.
  • Experience in Operations and/or Service Delivery and Solutions Development.
  • Service management architecture design and operations experience.
  • Experience in solution architecture development in the complex deal and outsourcing space (global experience).
  • Experience in costing/ pricing and business case development experience.
  • Enterprise outsourcing solution development and delivery experience.
  • People leadership and managment experience.
  • ITIL v3 Foundations/Expert, CISSP, Cisco CCIE e.g. R&S, Security & Voice.
