What you’ll be doing...

This is a lead data analyst position tasked with identifying, researching, and solving complex business problems and data anomalies through innovative, in-depth data modeling and analysis. The Consultant is also expected to be working as a liaison between various B2C teams, IT, and Network in support of their data analytical needs. This position is responsible for designing, owning, implementing and articulating opportunities to apply data analysis and modeling techniques to ensure billing and customer experience.

  • Responsible to extract customer and billing datasets across the organization to support business and finance initiatives
  • Study and mine data sets in partnership with IT, Marketing, cross functional B2C teams, derive actionable insights and drive change.
  • Provide in-depth analytical insights by developing or analyzing data models, assess the impacts, and partner with cross functional teams to safeguard Bill To Cash organizational impacts.
  • Deep dive and research issues related Customer and Organizational impacts, perform root cause analysis, assess risk, and work across the teams to mitigate negative impacts to customers and/or organizational goals.
  • Interface and lead efforts to drive synergies across teams by engaging and partnering on strategic initiatives

Data analysis duties involve turning large volumes of data into actionable insight for the business by:

  • Choosing relevant and meaningful business questions.
  • Collecting the best data that is relevant for the decision from multiple large volume data repositories.
  • Reviewing and understanding the data in context to the business and how it changes.
  • Cleaning and transforming the data to prepare for data analysis models.
  • Analyzing the data, creating data visualizations, and study visualizations to answer the business question.
  • Communicating results in an audience appropriate manner using applicable metrics, visuals, actionable insights, recommendations and decisions.
  • Create framework, using data inferences and automation, to develop reproducible data driven recommendations optimizing stated business objectives.
  • Assist in the creation and continued support of internal analytics databases to ensure actionable outcomes for analysis and reporting.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with data driven decision making
  • Experience withTeradata and Oracle
  • Experience with Customer Case and POS systems
  • Two or moreyears of writing advanced SQL, PL/SQL packages, functions and procedures and tuning database/query performance using Teradata or Oracle RDBMS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to outline and communicate anomalies, potential impacts, and champion issue resolution
  • Working in the Telecommunications, Consumer/Retail space within the Financial Services, Technology or other related mass market industries
  • Pig, Hive, Python, R and similar skills
  • Knowledge with Natural Language Processing, Time Series, Regression and Path analysis
  • High level of curiosity and investigative mind-set with attention to detail.
  • Ability towards data mining and data analysis
  • Ability to be proficient at querying and managing large datasets.
