What you’ll be doing...

As the Federal Program Manager for the Department of the Interior you will work on a broad range of projects ranging from major gateway upgrades to network security to bureau projects. You will be responsible for working on all types of projects; from pre-sales through implementation to ongoing operations as well as for coordinating with the groups responsible (depending on the phase of the project). You will also provide regular status updates to the client for all projects.

  • Provide project management guidance and oversight for a wide variety of customer-initiated projects in technical disciplines such as Active Directory, MDM, Cloud technologies, network, security stack and others.
  • Manage customer interactions, escalate and resolve service and technical issues, answer questions regarding new business.
  • Manage telecommunications orders, and partner with vendors to provide solutions.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships across teams including sales, solutions architects, order entry, provisioning, vendors, and others.
  • Create and communicate reporting for program and project initiatives and progress reviews.
  • Write proposals and work in teams to respond to customer fair opportunities.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project or program management experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance.

Even better if you have:

  • A Master’s degree.
  • Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Telecom including Voice and Data Networks, LANs and wireless.
  • ITIL certification.
  • CISSP certification.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excels skills such as working Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP function.
