What you’ll be doing...

  • Seeking 3D Graphics Artist with broad experience in multiple aspects of 3D content production to develop content for production delivery. Hands on ability in 3D content production -- modeling, texturing, uv work, lighting -- while also coordinating rest of team.
  • Provide technical bridge between engineering and content teams. Thorough knowledge of the technicalities of 3D art asset creation for game engines, the artists on the content team would not be able to prepare assets with the precision needed for our engineers to use in our various XR projects. The role is critical to ensuring the complex 3D assets our content team creates meet the strict requirements of structure and rigging.     
  • 3D animation - backup animation support for our main animators and can backfill tasks such as simple humanoid animation, background animation, mechanical animation, and prop animation.
  • 3D asset creation -Ability to provide asset creation support for asset-heavy projects that have many prop, character, and hero objects.   
  • 3D rigging Knowledge of setting up a "bone" structure for a character or other animated object with various inputs and handles in order for animators to be able to animate it. It is a highly complex skillset involving knowledge of such concepts as forward and inverse kinematics, quaternion rotations, gimble lock, muscle deformation, skinning and envelop weighting, and of course anatomy. 

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Four or more years of work experience in Visual Sciences/3D Art.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience in xR development.
  • Expert proficiency in UV mapping, light mapping, and PBR texture generation in Maya/Max, ZBrush and Substance painter for use in Unreal, Unity, and proprietary 3D engines.
  • Deep understanding of game engines, file transfer, texturing and lighting.
  • 4+ years of experience in Maya or 3D Studio Macs, Character Studio.
  • Expert proficiency in scripting for artist production tools and file transfer for game engines (Python, C Sharp or Unity Script).
  • Experience working between engine and creative teams.
