What you’ll be doing...

You will be working with the Verizon team on developing automation to accelerate service deployment and infrastructure engineering and operations processes.

  • Provide leadership in translating requirements into automation features for development.
  • Provide leadership and facilitate the development of team's efforts.
  • Take responsibility for development projects and be accountable for making progress.
  • Provide engineering expertise to design and develop automations for the Verizon network.
  • Work with the automation architect to align automation designs with the automation framework.
  • Provide technical leadership to other automation developers.
  • Lead code reviews for automation development.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong software engineering experience and a background in telecom, IP networking, or optical transport.
  • Leadership/project management experience.
  • Experience with following technologies: PERL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, Web Services API development (SOAP), Informix Database administration.
