What you’ll be doing...

The Wireline Operations Control Center (OCC) provides provisioning, maintenance and dispatch support to the Retail, Wholesale and Enterprise business customer base and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We provide support for every product level from POTS service to Optical Carrier Systems. As a member of the operations center team you will be a part of a very high paced and customer focused work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills as well as team and personal accountability.

This Supervisor position has the responsibility for managing Prevention functions for the Mid-Atlantic North Region, including but not limited to the Region's Central Office and Underground Air Pressure Monitoring, Electronics/Environmental Monitoring, Proactive Cable Rehab, and Infrastructure Improvement Programs. Must be willing to travel 25%of the time to anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic North Geographic area. Interface regularly with Dispatch and Field Operations counterparts. Deliver training, presentations, and reports from Associate to Director level. Strong collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize and maximize resources. Vendor and Contract Management experience desired. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Supervisor for 12-15 direct reports. Provide Repair Service Clerks with leadership, guidance, knowledge, tools, training, and opportunity to perform their function. Perform quality observations on every employee to ensure quantity and quality objectives are met.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Expense and Capital Packages for Cable, Battery, and Air Work in PA, DE, and NJ.
  • Experience interfacing with External Agencies (Emergency Response, Local Municipalities, and/or Power Companies) regarding hazardous Outside Plant conditions.
  • Knowledge with high-capacity and special circuits.
  • Knowledge with OOH/Callout Process.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Five of more years of experience in a Field Operations Role (I&M/ Cable Maintenance / CXM / PPM).
  • Strong experience with Verizon Air Systems and Loop Electronics.
  • Knowledge with the following systems: WFA-DO, COA-D, PPMT, PMAP/PWEB, NMA, LEIS, NORM, Microsoft Office Suite (specifically ability to manipulate Excel), and Microsoft Sharepoint.
  • Experience delivering reports to Director Level.
  • Experience working directly with External Vendors.
