What you’ll be doing...

The Lead Integration Engineer, Technology, takes ownership and is responsible for detailed implementation of complex integration setups mimicking a customer facing solution. Determines and identifies high level test plans on the basis of interactions with architects, developers and the program manager. Designs automation architecture for integration and exercise of software and hardware subsystems, to support validation of use case hypothesis and customer value, as well as re-use for future projects.

He/She interacts with a project manager to plan project schedules and set technical direction. Engineer reviews test scripts and provide guidance and best practices, develop high-level system design diagrams for system level automated exercise, debugging and capture of logs and performance metrics. Engineer develops and implements moderate to high complexity automated system setups.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Integration and test for 5G and MEC based proof of concept setups. Analytical mindset tackling complex test automation design tasks. Drafting of detailed verification specifications. Hosting of peer reviews. Driving high technical review standards. Work with multiple stakeholders to identify performance requirements & orchestrate validation of these requirements. Analysis and interpretation of test results. Familiar with tools and infrastructure for test automation and reuse.

The Lead Integration Engineer has extensive experience conceiving methodologies and automation from the ground up tailored to exercise and test functionality of a proof of concept hardware and software rig. Fast iterations, repeatable and consistent test methodology, clear and concise reporting are key to project success. The Engineer has a track record of collaboration with the architects, developers and program manager to independently develop integration and test methodologies using industry standards when available, or proposing novel approaches when standards are lacking. The Engineer is comfortable managing integration tests of multiple work streams with minimal guidance, including delegating tasks, managing schedules, and scoping project resource requirements.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Computer Science degree
  • Extensive experience conceiving methodologies and automation from the ground up
  • Expert manager and user of issue and project management tool such as JIRA
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure resources and services
  • 7+ Years with software applications end to end integration and test automation experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to a wide audience.
  • Fluent in Scrum/Agile development design practices and tools
  • Expert user of version control software such as GIT
  • Expert manager and user of issue and project management tool such as JIRA
  • Has mentored junior integration engineers on design patterns, development best practices and development trade-offs
  • Comfortable with scripting in Python, Bash
  • In-depth experience on any load testing tool for load generation and profiling
  • Hands-on experience with applications using cellular network
  • Deep understanding of embedded and HW/SW integration tests
  • Experience in profiling code for performance issues.
  • Experience in Linux
  • Tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Office / GSuite, Git/GitHub/Gerrit, AWS, Jmeter, HP Performance Center
