What you’ll be doing...

Our fiber network brings the best internet and entertainment experience to consumers everywhere. But there are still some places that need access. That’s where you come in. You’ll lead projects that will expand where we offer fiber and help us provide access to more and more customers where they live—like apartment buildings and condos. You will be the program manager working with engineering and operation teams as well as Verizon Enhanced Communities to plan and carry out our network conversion to fiber and helping to drive new sales. You’ll lead cross-functional teams focused on new MxU process improvement opportunities—to bring the benefits of our network to even more people.

This position has oversight of the MxU access process driven by Network Transformation. The candidate selected will lead a team that has oversight over right-of-way efforts, to ensure that every step of the process including engagement, negotiation and build cycles support timely completion of wire center projects.

  • Lead cross functional teams (Engineering, IT, Operations) in driving positive results of NT MxU strategic initiatives.

  • Lead the development and implementation of MxU process improvement initiatives.

  • Tracking project progress, performance, identifying gaps and adjusting plans.

  • Improving processes and outcomes through analysis of successes and shortfalls.

  • Sharing progress with leaders and other stakeholders with dashboards and reports.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Experience with Tableau dashboard authoring.

  • Data mining, preparation and modeling experience .

  • Managed and influenced a cross functional, geographically-dispersed team.

  • Juggled multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Facilitated problem solving, considered alternatives and applied creative approaches.

  • Technical experience with new network deployments.In large apartment or condo buildings.

  • Knowledge of federal, state and local building codes for multiple dwelling units (MDUs).

  • Managed complex projects involving multiple work streams and stakeholders.

  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level).

  • Motivated and influenced teams to deliver outcomes and results.

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio or other flowcharting application.

  • Knowledge of BDMS, MMS, WFM, NAR, vBuild, CoE, ICGS/IDDS/FIM, iVAPP and NTAS.
