What you’ll be doing...

This position will lead and supervise a group of employees across three different areas of focus. As the supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of five to six individuals, who are geographically separated, and also perform a wide variety of tasks. Individual must be enthusiastic and motivated to dig in and be actively involved in many different workstreams, to ensure high performance for the team.

Below are more detailed roles and responsibilities:

Production Support

  • Manage production support team, including prioritization of work, reviewing open items, handling administrative issues, and providing training.
  • Liaise between the end users and IT groups in resolving day to day systems issues, most specifically the high visibility orders that require immediate attention.
  • Manage cross-organizational escalations with IT by monitoring numerous prod support inboxes and hosting regular calls and meetings to prioritize defects, system enhancements, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with IT and the end users before and after system releases.
  • Proactively resolve issues to minimize the escalations sent to FSS management.
  • Drive down the number of outstanding defects and corrective actions assigned to the FSS team.
  • Host regular UE analysis calls with the OM team in Silver Spring to discuss how to reduce user errors and minimize the downstream impacts.
  • Attend crisis management calls if needed.
  • As-needed Off-Hours support for projects and TSP-E’s.

Organization Operations and Reporting

  • Analyze new team functions to build applicable reporting templates that meet executive management requirements. Reporting will center around organizational throughput metrics, health assessments of security boundaries, project status, budget review PowerPoint slides.
  • Implement and maintain accurate and reliable reporting based on substantial excel manipulation and pivot tables.

Project Management Operations

  • Assist in onboarding new project managers to the federal team.
  • Track Project Status’ and present at management reviews.
  • Ensure all government and internal deliverables associated to the federal contracts are maintained and/or delivered.
  • Assist with project escalations.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meeting facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with IT system development lifecycles and system architectures.
  • Documentation writing knowledge, preferably with an emphasis on technical/IT system documentation.
  • Ability to be innovative with a desire to try new approaches.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment.
