What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for driving city engagement and driving ownership of developing opportunities in 1F cities. You will be developing relationships with cities/municipalities, developing value propositions, understanding the political and competitive landscape, and executing partnerships by establishing contracts and developing public/private partnership models.

You will be responsible for conducting deep dive discussions with various city departments, understanding their specific needs in solving city problems, coordinating with VZ Enterprise Architects, creating requirements documents, developing city solution maps, and collaborating on the development of solution documentation from design through execution, and working closely with various organizations in building support models for deals.

  • Aligning and strategizing with 1F build plans and driving business development activities.
  • Developing city specific strategy and handling value proposition decks.
  • Driving collaboration with VZW & VBM, WNO, WLS, and VSC organizations and owning deals and driving wins.
  • Creating executive level and technical presentations.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of new business opportunities.
  • Proactively collaborating with State and Government Affairs teams and Wireline/Wireless Network and Legal teams.
  • Driving a positive customer experience with the sales teams.
  • Working with Finance stakeholders as needed to develop business cases around partnerships.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Marketed or sold technical solutions.
  • Willingness to travel domestically.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems or Engineering.
  • Demonstrated professional presentation and communication skills to address all levels of the municipalities to include client senior executives, Mayors, and City Managers.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills for forecasting, pricing and margin analysis.
  • Proven strong technology sales & marketing and analytical skills.
  • Six or more years of experience in sales and business development, with six or more years of experience in complex solutions delivery and six or more years of experience selling to State and Local Government.
  • Experience managing delivery of complex solutions involving IoT/M2M, Optical Networking, Wi-Fi, Smart City Solutions and professional services.
  • Experience with networking technologies including fiber, ODN, macro/small cells, Metro Area Networks.
  • Experience delivering complex M2M solutions and market expertise in assigned vertical.
