What you’ll be doing...

Provides pre-sales advisory and solution consultancy support for our SLED’s (State, Local & Education) Clients, helping them to embrace innovation and drive changes. Working closely with core sales and other pre-sales functional teams (Client Partner, Emerging Technology Consulting and Tier II Technical Support Organizations), the Sr. Solution Architect is aligned and accountable to specific sales teams within the SLED Segment and/or dedicated to named customers. The Solution Architect can be a subject matter expert in a specific Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Tower but must also have the ability to work more broadly as an end to end solution owner covering multiple technical domains. As a trusted partner with our key clients, the Solution Architect is focused on the business problems that we aim to solve, not just the technologies that we use. An ICT professional who consults, designs, documents and presents to both IT & non-IT business execs. Always aiming to grow and leverage our full managed services portfolio.

  • Pre-sales solution ownership across multiple ICT domains.
  • Provide pre-sales advisory and solution consultancy for our clients and account teams.
  • Accountable for the integrity of the solution in pre-sales phase and owns all solution documentation using standard, common methodology ready for review through our Deal Lifecycle Management process and hand over to Service Delivery & Implementation functions in post-sales.
  • Accountable for achieving all revenue, sales & services quota’s in the SLED Market as part of a unified sales team.
  • Build and develop relationships with key client stakeholders from within the targeted account base and participate in on-going governance program to ensure best practice/effective communication.
  • Take personal pride and invest in your personal brand development, leveraging internal educational and training tools for knowledge / technology certifications as well as seeking external sources for inspiration.
  • Maintain relevant technology certifications and drive industry best practice (Cisco, ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, CISSP etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Software Defined Networking and Network Functions Virtualization Technologies.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the tech industry with experience in pre-sales, customer-facing consulting or other relevant experience.
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
  • Experience architecting and developing LAN/WAN or infrastructure and network solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Experience with networking concepts including: software defined networking, routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas:
    • Software Defined Networking (SDN).
    • IT infrastructure and systems security.
    • Cloud or network systems management.
    • Business continuity.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Experience in and knowledge of data and information security - especially as it relates to issues within businesses.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understands, and works with new emerging technologies, methodologies and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  • Security, architecture, and industry certifications.
  • Hands on experience implementing or designing two or more of the following:
    • Data and IP Services Managed Operations.
    • Security Services.
    • Contact Center Technologies.
    • IT Applications Management.
