What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Analyst- Logistics Services is responsible for planning, reporting, forecasting, and distributing POP (Point of Purchase) Verizon branded merchandising materials to stores. The successful candidate will support the team in coordinating the launch of two hundred and fifty or more distribution files (four thousand items) on an annual basis to meet promotion launch dates.

Responsibilities will also include monitoring and reordering of material as well as investigating backorders for swift resolution. Individual will participate in daily calls/meetings with internal and external cross-functional teams to manage distribution projects of assigned channel(s). Successful candidate will use data analysis to generate continuous improvement recommendations for cost savings and/or drive efficiency. The candidate must effectively work individually and in team environments to successfully accomplish goals and objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Forecast quantities for production of new and reprinted POP (Point of Purchase) merchandising materials to support all retail channels.
  • Monitor daily inventory levels for all point of sale merchandising materials and take action when necessary (backorder, low stock).
  • Manage returns and in-transit issues of POP materials.
  • Maintain data and systems that manage the workflow, accurate store lists, inventory and item image availability.
  • Develop and communicate distribution files to both internal & external teams.
  • Provide and convey metrics and reports for all distribution activities.
  • Daily administration of team mailbox.
  • Coordinate in-transit merchandising materials from vendors to the distribution center to meet service level expectations.
  • Support and effectively complete assigned ad-hoc analysis as requested by management or stakeholders.
  • Support and assist with the successful integration of system and technology changes within the team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Six or more years of work experience.
  • Experience within supply chain or merchandising.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Ability to project manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work cross functionally, across various internal and external teams.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and accommodate changes in priorities.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Experience creating reports in Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with SQL and advanced analytic techniques to optimize supply chain planning.
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skill set.
