What you’ll be doing...

Our Marketing team relies on information and tools to make better and smarter decisions every day. That’s where you come in. You will be part of the test team for VBM's programs utilizing the power of real time decision management. You will support both the execution of test plans pre-launch, and troubleshooting post-launch.

You will create and execute test plans for various deliverables within the program (data, logic, UX, integration, and reporting) and serve as the troubleshooting expert for the program. You will also ensure proper use of defect management tools and assign defects to the appropriate area (Logic, UI, Reporting, Data, and Integration). This testing role will help test analysts on the team find solutions to problems, will document test case best practices and provide time estimates so testing deliverables can be incorporated into the delivery schedule.

  • Creating test plans in partnership with the testing leads.
  • Determining the necessary elements to execute the test plan, and communicating this to the testing leads.
  • Executing tests and documenting results.
  • Handling test management and execution, including coordination, communications, collaboration, and scheduling.
  • Monitoring defects.
  • Troubleshooting investigation and assessment, from validation through recommendation for resolution.
  • Recommending process improvements.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Two or more years of testing experience.
  • Knowledge of software testing and/or software integration testing.
  • Experience with the Agile process.
  • ISTQB and/or TMaP certification.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Consumer marketing experience.
  • Comfort using data to support decision making for various purposes and audiences.
  • Written user stories, conducted user acceptance testing, developed detailed business requirements, and built personalized online experiences.
  • Applied marketing automation best practices and processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
