What you’ll be doing...

The Technology and Product Development organization is searching for a motivated, positive self-starter who will lead high visibility strategic initiatives with a key focus on developing and implementing an enterprise Master Data Management strategy.

The primary focus of the team is to identify and initiate opportunities, build collaboration, and influence strategic direction by raising visibility of trends and issues across the competitive landscape. The position requires a deep understanding of Data Governance and associated tools, industry trends and business drivers, as well as a strong desire to learn.

The candidate will drive cross functional initiatives, develop action plans, establish milestones, and provide status updates. The position requires frequent interaction with VPs and Directors across Technology and partner organizations. The ideal candidate will have the acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities.

Key Functions:

  • Determine if / how we can leverage existing MDM solutions within the enterprise to cover all business units (including VZ Connect and Verizon Media Group).
  • Manage the implementation of the recommended MDM solution for the enterprise.
  • Develop the plan / roadmap for developing a Consumer Global Customer ID across our business units (including VZ Connect and Verizon Media Group).
  • Manage the plan / roadmap for implementing an Enterprise Global Customer ID across the business units (including VZ Connect and Verizon Media Group).
  • Develop key metrics and success criteria.
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, issues and risks to execute on the roadmap.
  • Communicate key successes/wins and other significant project statuses.
  • Organize and lead cross functional teams to share information, build collaboration, and facilitate the execution of new opportunities to address Verizon’s business challenges.
  • Identify and leverage Verizon Media expertise, technological investments, and AI techniques.

Research new technology opportunities, investigate industry trends, and deliver compelling, data driven recommendations to guide business decisions and improve business performance.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have…

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

    Even better if you have…

  • BS in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field or six or more years for relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Data Governance or Master Data Management.
  • Knowledge of big data and machine learning technologies.
  • Strong Program management experience (Agile and/ or Waterfall) with success leading large complex initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools including G Suite, Confluence, Jira, and SmartSheets.
  • Proven ability to package and sell ideas to all levels of management and across organizations
  • PMP Certification Preferred.
  • Experience and interest in current and future technologies.
