What you’ll be doing...

The Manager-Program/Project Management of Network and Service Transformation Strategy will be responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of strategies and programs targeted to improve the customer experience and simplify Verizon’s wire line service delivery by migrating service from legacy (largely copper-based) networks to more robust and efficient fiber networks or other alternatives. The program office is entirely responsible for developing and leading the specific strategy, implementation and execution of the cross-functional corporate level plan with CTO ( Product Planning, Network Planning and Engineering, and Service Delivery and Assurance), Consumer and Mass Business (National and Regional Marketing, Sales and Operations) and Verizon Enterprise Services (Marketing, Sales, Service and Account Management); to improve our long-term wire line cost structure by simplifying product sets, moving customers to the best network and service options and retiring outdated assets. The program office will also lead and coordinate the functional interface with Legal, Government and Regulatory Affairs, Labor and Corporate Communications.

This particular position will lead and develop a team of SR Analysts with various functions across the Communications team. (Wave management, customer research, Verizon customer record research utilizing various Verizon resources). The position will interface with VBM segments (Medium Business, SLED), VES and Wholesale, and will create and manage various communication documents and plans to support these LOBs. The position will be responsible for driving Account team engagement and provide appropriate awareness around the NT Program Status through presentations, and available resources and tools (SFDC, WFM, etc.)

The position will be responsible for coordinating with service centers and sales operations teams for appropriate updates and lead distribution within VBM segments and VES. The SR Manager will also be responsible for partnering with our Wholesale team to coordinate and align with CLEC communications and processes. The position will partner with NT Project Managers to drive copper to fiber migrations and focus on the overall success of the NT Program.

The Senior Manager should have experience with our VBM / VES Segments and Wholesale, and be able to communicate the NT Strategy, while acknowledging enterprise and CLEC buying behavior. They should be able to identify process gaps and provide strategy to streamline processes that may apply to multiple facets of the NT program.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience
  • Financial, business case and operations review experience
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with VBM, VES segments; process experience – Service delivery, account management, product development, marketing or sales
  • Strategic planning and execution skills. A demonstrative change agent.
  • Knowledge of various CMB systems (NSOP, CoA, Storc and CABS) AND/OR various VES resources (SFDC, Chatter, VECRM, Account Assignment research tools),
  • Ability to work across LOBs.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and provide resolution with a streamlined approach
  • Leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Project management and presentation skills
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work within tight and fast timelines.
  • Strong execution and follow up on ALL assigned tasks
