What you’ll be doing...

You will help to build the foundation that keeps us in front of the competition. The work you will be doing will deliver the network infrastructure for new platform, product and service deployments. We will look to you to meet critical deadlines for large cross-functional and enterprise-wide projects and solve the complex problems that the team may face along the way. Your role will be pivotal to coordinate activities within the network function and across other teams to make completing complex projects look easy.

  • Developing end-to-end project plans to guide the implementation of network infrastructure.
  • Balancing resource allocation, budgets, timelines, and potential risk factors that may impact project success.
  • Managing a wide variety of project teams focused on different aspects of the network infrastructure and keeping them on task to meet deadlines.
  • Directing the deployment of new product and service projects to ensure their integration and commercial success.
  • Leading project update meetings for leadership and finding creative ways to resolve problems.

Network Implementation (NI) project managers are responsible for end-to-end implementation of network infrastructure initiatives as it relates to new platform, product and service deployments working with all organizations within Network. Cross functional work is also required to collaborate with other business teams.

NI project managers are expected to leverage the agile framework to manage with leadership qualities to effectively direct deployment activities for the integration and commercial success of new products and services. This includes creation and maintaining product backlogs, establishing milestone, timelines and direction, aligning people with determination, and willingness to take action and follow through.

The position will be focused on (not limited to) IMS Core projects. Current projects are Virtualized Tandem DRA, Virtualized Core/Roaming DRA along with HLR, Virtualized PCRF & Virtualized Ericsson ENM.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional or enterprise projects.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies applied to project management.
  • A PMI or Project management certification.
  • Experience using Clarity Software.
  • Experience with Wireless/ Cellular/ Telecom technologies.
  • Three or more years of experience in managing large cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects.
  • Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using Confluence and JIRA applications.
  • Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in project execution.
  • Knowledge to understand a project’s technical breadth (e.g. call flow, billing, provisioning, operations, etc.).
  • IMS Core Experience
  • Knowledge with a variety of network concepts, best practices, and procedures.
