What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative IT lead to join the Service Assurance Systems organization. You’ll be managing business operations for the organization, driving a product development mindset throughout the organization and crafting internal/external communications. You will collaborate with high performing teams with a diverse set of skills; varying degrees of technical acumen, project management capabilities and experience with business operations processes within Verizon.

Responsibilities to manage business operations of the Service Assurance Systems organization

  • Work with the organization’s people leaders, HR, DMO team, CIO Governance team, Field Glass team and TAPFIN to manage onshore / offshore staffing needs
  • Define and track the organization performance agreement and corresponding scorecard for KPIs
  • Track security commitments. Global clearances and facilitate their progress.
  • Understand CPNI, CPI-810 compliances and help teams/systems to adhere to those regulations.
  • Work with DMO teams and Service Assurance managers to baseline the work and budget allocations at the beginning of the year and continue with the process as and when new programs are being added.
  • Track budget and spend, track capital vs. expense spend.
  • Assist teams with VzTime project codes, time charging, track time charging against projects, capital/expense, etc.
  • Craft concise, effective executive level communications
  • Collaborate with software delivery leaders to summarize accomplishments each week for SVP and above review
  • Develop write-ups for industry and platform recognition
  • Attracting and retaining proficient individuals
  • Establishing the mission and purpose for individuals and teams
  • Perform career counseling, personal development and help with required training
  • Assign people to teams; address issues that teams cannot unblock; make personnel changes where necessary

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in computer science or related field.
  • Experience with SOW/Sourcing/Field Glass processes.
  • Experience with Verizon global clearance/GSAM processes.
  • Understanding of Verizon procurement process, purchase order/invoicing processes, contingent workforce solutions processes.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute on competing tasks for multiple projects
  • Experience with Google G-suite tools and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Experience with delivering solutions by collaborating across multiple teams and managing by influence.
  • Applicable knowledge of IT and network technologies used by the team.
  • Understanding of Agile software development life cycle and SAFe for lean enterprises.
