What you’ll be doing...

As part of Mobile Core Services, Mobile Identity/FIDO team, Device Technology PMTS will be responsible for planning, developing, integrating technology solutions for FIDO client and authenticator solutions to support the range of device OS and device capabilities.

  • Support maintenance of FIDO Application SDK for device OS (Android, iOS, ...). Investigate, develop and maintain requirements, test plans and review FIDO client architecture for any New API development work, new feature requests; authenticators and support new Proof of Concept requests. Assess new technologies and industry standard for integration, alignment and requirement improvements.
  • Work with OEM and tool vendors to ensure ongoing support and development of FIDO Client capabilities and also adapt to the needs of our business units.
  • Work across all Verizon/Verizon Wireless organizations including Network, Product Development, Marketing, IT, Customer Care, as well as external OEM and platform vendors, to assess client solution/product needs and bring solutions to market.
  • Support Verizon team e.g. Marketing, Application team, and CCID development team requests for documentation; technical clarifications, development testing.
  • Evaluate field issues reported, perform log analysis, root cause analysis reports to identify any FIDO client or server issues. Follow up with Application team, OEM or Client SDK, Network and FIDO server team for resolution. Work with Server-side SMEs to get resolutions. Maintain FIDO client development bug list with the vendor and interface with CARE, NRB.
  • Manage Roadmap for the client. Create and maintain the testing process and test plans.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Seven or more years of experience in engineering and developing of wireless technology solutions.
  • Knowledge of Wireless network communications, 4G-LTE, and authentication security Infrastructure.
  • Wireless device hardware related to smartphones, tablets, data only devices, set-top boxes, routers, and connected devices.
  • Mobile OS knowledge: Linux, Android, iOS.
  • Protocol knowledge: TCP/IP, JSON, XML.
  • Standards: FIDO, OpenID, W3C, 3GPP.
  • Mobile Security Standards: Global Platform, AAA, Certificates, Key Exchange protocols, Encryption.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence organizational direction and initiatives working with all leadership levels, including Senior Executive Management.
