What you’ll be doing...

The Wireline Operations Controls Center (OCC) provides provisioning, maintenance and dispatch support to the Retail, Wholesale and Enterprise business customer base and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We provide support for every product level from POTS service to Optical Carrier Systems. As a member of the operations center team you will be a part of a very high paced and customer focused work environment. The position requires strong leadership skills as well as team and personal accountability.

We are a Business Offline Center, we support the Dispatch Readiness Center (DRC). Our main focus is on business customers. We are also responsible for presidential appeals, Save it Chats, business expedites, installation backlog, Vrepair screening buckets, Contact Engine-SMS text msgs and work with field managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a culture of accountability within the framework of a positive work environment. -You will lead a team of 15-20, union-represented employees in an office environment. You will help resolve business installations orders and maintenance repair tickets to help reduce unnecessary technician dispatches. - Setting clear objectives, assessing performance and coaching for improvement. Establishing clear roles, responsibilities and work assignments. Administering employee training plan to support new technology and a growing customer base. Partnering with, and escalating to our internal supplier organizations to resolve troubles. Administering Verizon processes and policies as they relate to safety, attendance, performance, work rules, and code of conduct.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with the Google G suite products, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supervising a union workforce.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Two or more years of install orders for POTS, HSI, dispatch, repair installation experience.
  • Knowledge of union contracts and labor relations.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Experience with and ability to manage personnel items including scheduling, job definitions, performance assessments, and issuing work assignments.
