What you’ll be doing...

We’re looking for a passionate and seasoned Product Marketing Manager to join Verizon’s Consumer Group, responsible for delivering new customer experiences and optimizing the growth opportunities we see as leaders in the 5G era. You’ll help shape the media and entertainment solutions we build for Verizon’s 100M+ customers and you’ll bring these products to market to maximize their impact. Ultimately, you’ll be a key part of the team that’s reimaging the way consumers play video games, watch content, listen to music and enjoy entertainment.

  • Create and drive the strategic marketing plan for new media and entertainment solutions (e.g. video games) through market research, competitive analysis, consumer insights, customer engagement and business planning.
  • Develop and be the expert in customer personas – how they buy and their buying criteria -- across entertainment product categories.
  • Create and evolve the messaging, positioning, pricing, value propositions and differentiation for new media and entertainment solutions (e.g. video games).
  • Lead the ideation, strategy and execution of marketing programs and campaigns to launch and grow new media and entertainment solutions (e.g. video games).
  • Brief agencies to develop creative for media campaigns, retail merchandising and digital/social media presence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, providing input and guidance across Product Management, Sales, Corporate Marketing and Communications, Tech and external partners.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience in product marketing or marketing communications within Music, Video Games or other entertainment product categories.
  • Four or more years of agency experience in account management, strategic planning, consumer insights, creative or media.
  • Verbal and written communication skills and to convey in both formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers and business partners.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity with ease; will make decisions with speed and accuracy; and will champion change in a passionate, convincing manner that elicits broad support.
  • Ability to drive change and performance in a matrixed, consensus-based organization where successful collaboration and communication are required at all levels.
  • Experience in managing a complex workload with multiple priorities and tight deadlines with a focus on measuring results and improving performance.
  • Knowledge of project management, including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, recommend resource allocations and run team meetings.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.
  • Experience coordinating team members both with and without direct authority.
  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
  • Strong customer focus, and the ability to develop customer specific value propositions.
  • Ability to both direct and personally create effective marketing materials.
  • Ability to simplify messaging and communicate complex information.
