What you’ll be doing...

The Consultant will lead the business operations for the Centralized Returns and Testing Center (CRTC), Finished Goods Operation (FGO), and Accessory operations. This will include the management of multi-million dollar spend. This role is responsible for analyzing, tracking, determining the financial viability of the various processes and programs. This includes having ownership and authority to transform or modify operational processes and activities within the reverse operation environment that will result in the reduction of cost and increased monetization across the business.

This role will be responsible for managing contractual service levels for all receiving, testing, shipping, and other operational activities in the reverse campus. This will require collaborative engagement with the 3PL and numerous cross functional partners including Operations, Device Quality and Repair, Monetization and Inventory Planning.

The Consultant will have ownership of analysis, distribution, and approval of invoices related to reverse supply chain activity provided by our partners within the reverse supply chain campus. This will require the use of data analytics to verify accuracy and identify trends with production and cost efficiency. This will include negotiating rates within individual activities and special projects, while increasing visibility and favorability. This role will be the point of contact for communication and documentation of reverse supply chain invoicing.

Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:

  • Negotiate rates with Third Party Logistics (3PL) partners within individual activities and special projects, while increasing visibility and favorability to the bottom-line.
  • Collaborate in drafting agreements with our suppliers, establishing SLAs and associated remedies.
  • Perform and utilize data analytics and modeling to identify trends within production and other operational activities; identify gaps and conduct root cause analysis; fully accountable for finding and implementing innovative solutions in correcting issues or processes that will drive operational improvements and system enhancements; includes providing direction to the repair team on process changes that increase cost efficiency and result in revenue and margin off-sets.
  • Recommends contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) impacting productivity and driving standardization within the reverse supply chain; tracks and monitors KPIs and SLAs to ensure contractual requirements are met; takes action to mitigate situations that may result in negative impacts to the business.
  • Research, analyze and investigate executive escalations; conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution to customer impacting issues within 24 hours; includes driving cross functional engagements to implement solutions and conducting executive summaries to close out issues.
  • Prepare financial models to efficiently forecast and assess expenses, identify potential risk to budget; assist with financial decision making.
  • Perform cost benefit analysis to identify most profitable path.
  • Understand cost drivers and operational processes in all areas of responsibility; develop data driven business cases to support decisions and recommendations for re-engineering existing processes, or creating new processes, that reduce inefficiencies.
  • Lead the end-to-end reporting, metrics, dashboards and business intelligence for the various product groups; make decisions on and implement reporting customization to support the product group; make updates to critical data in the planning systems.
  • Ownership of analysis, distribution, and approval of invoices related to reverse supply chain activity provided by the 3PL.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with 3PLs.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance or in a related field.
  • Ten or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with financial risk assessment.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize conflicting priorities and optimize customer impacting solutions to drive resolution in required time frame.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Business acumen, effective verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Working with large amounts of data; ability to interpret, summarize, and build business case for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Ability to develop collaborative, cross functional partnerships within internal and external work group organizations.
  • Wireless industry experience with knowledge of OEMs, devices, processes and policies.
  • Track record of identifying and delivering creative opportunities to achieve business organization goals.
  • Strong operational and financial background.
