What you’ll be doing...

Customers expect our networks to perform at a high level all the time. That’s where you come in. You will investigate, evaluate and resolve network and data performance issues to ensure optimal and reliable service for our customers. The work you’ll be doing will directly impact customer satisfaction and help keep us ahead of the competition.

  • Evaluate trends, Monitor, and Optimize the 5G, LTE, and CDMA networks.
  • Find and Resolve network issues including both RAN and Core problems while providing the best experience and network for Verizon customers.
  • Develop algorithms for automation and/or methodologies to increase network efficiency.
  • Quickly adapt, develop, and improve new tools to advance Verizon networks and collaborate with teams to share best practices.
  • Analyze large sets of data quickly.
  • Analyze drive data.
  • Analyze VoLTE and LTE call flow scenarios and determine call failure reasons and resolutions.
  • Responsible for System Performance parameters and translations for new cell sites, cell site modifications, carrier additions and cell site upgrades.
  • Conduct parameter trials and document the impact on key performance indicators.
  • Use RF Design and optimization knowledge paired with data analytic skills to identify best solutions for the Network.
  • Design testing methodologies and plans for performance of features, products, and changes.
  • Provide support to RF design and Network Engineering for network expansion & data capacity growth.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues driving LTE performance related to the RF Network.
  • Take ownership of ongoing network projects and proactively identify new processes to optimize network performance.
  • Manage multiple projects at the same time.

What we’re looking for...

You have a strong customer service orientation. You like to take ownership of an issue and resolve it successfully. You are able to understand and evaluate a complex problem and present solutions. You work well independently as well as effectively with diverse business teams and vendors to implement solutions.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in5G, LTE, and CDMA networks and 3GPP standards.
  • Experience in IP and transport protocols.
  • Experience indata analytics and visualization.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related degree.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related degree.
  • Knowledge of at least one data collection tool such as Datapro, and TEMS Symphony.
  • Knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
  • Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools such as Planet, GeoPlan, ACP, DB Planner.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Unix, scripting tools.
  • Knowledge of mapping software such as MapInfo, ArcGIS, Topo.
  • Knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau.
  • Ability to differentiate and diagnose RAN and CORE related problems.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with experience presenting technical material.
  • Understanding of IMS and systems engineering aspects related to RAN and proficiency in Core level call flow analysis.
  • Experience and certification on DAS OEM platforms such as Corning, Commscope, Teko/JMA, SpiderCloud, and Nokia MBI.
  • Experience with multiple vendors such as Cisco, Ericsson, and Nokia.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Capability to interact effectively with customers (internal and external).
  • Self-motivation and ability to work efficiently in a team or independently.
