What you’ll be doing...

This incumbent will be responsible for driving the strategy, planning and execution of multiple, broad, national events across the Consumer Group.

This individual will manage the strategy, planning and execution of 15-20 events across the Consumer Group from start to finish. This includes working with leadership across multiple teams on setting event criteria and guidelines. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering a world class experience at each event.

This individual will also be responsible for strategizing, managing and overseeing requirements of other team members to provide reporting, registration and program support to optimize the employee engagement at each event. This individual will develop and drive project plans, schedules, estimated budgets, as well as, negotiate rates and contracts, manage talent, etc. They will organize presentations regarding their events and present to Directors and VPs to ensure event goals align and support the organizational initiatives and requirements for the business.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years event management experience with a track record of managing own projects from start to finish

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.
  • Digital experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.
  • Minimum of 7 years event management experience with a track record of managing own projects from start to finish
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment
  • Obtains excellent organizational skills and is extremely detail oriented
  • Able to develop and implement strategies that result in the successful achievement of critical business goals/objectives
  • Effective use of PC including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
