What you’ll be doing...

The Director of Product Marketing will lead the team responsible for all product market activities for the Voice and Advanced Communications applications and services portfolio.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Lead a team that delivers $3B in revenue through creating marketing strategies for the product portfolio for traditional (devices, tablets, routers, accessories, wearables), Advanced Communications, which include services like One Talk, VCE, BDV, Push-to-Talk, SIP Trunking, etc.
  • Coordinate with Product Management and Segment teams to develop portfolio and product strategy that meets the needs of small business to enterprise-level customers and public sector
  • Work with Corporate Strategy and Product to bring new technologies and services to market, from three years out to today
  • Leverage market and competitive intel to identify new market opportunities and specific product needs, translating them to a product roadmap with Product Management
  • Manage a team that creates marketing plans (above and below the line) and briefs to execute strategies
  • Plan new product and feature launches and the release of existing products into new markets aligned to the portfolio strategy
  • Manage a team that can craft compelling messages that translate technical details into benefits for the customer
  • Define value proposition statements that clearly identify the business needs and benefits and the differentiated value of the Verizon solutions
  • Understand and support the needs of the sales teams and distribution channels to include developing tools and external collateral and training that teaches the sales teams how and when to use the materials
  • Understand and support the needs of customers, including recommending tools, distribution, customer journey, products and features to internal teams
  • Manage the development of assets (presentations whitepapers, infographics) to support the products and services
  • Work with Pricing team to develop special pricing and promotions to drive sales
  • Work with Segment and Demand Generation teams to created targeted programs and participate in events to drive sales of products, aligned with the portfolio strategy
  • Develop use cases and product showcases that can be used by sales, at Executive Briefing Centers (EBCs), and at events to showcase the Verizon solutions
  • Serve as thought leader for the communications portfolios, supporting creation of thought leadership content, speaking engagements, and strategic customer meetings, and analyst discussions
  • Work with Segment and other Product Marketing teams to ensure linkage of voice services to the entire Verizon business portfolio, creating bundled solutions and offers, where applicable
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to the Product Management teams for the wireless and wireline voice and connectivity services

What we’re looking for...

  • 12+ years’ work experience in marketing of wireless Voice, Contact Center, and/or Collaboration Solutions
  • Experience in wireless and wireline voice connectivity technology
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully leading a team of professionals in the launch and marketing management of a complex product portfolio
  • Experience in developing a marketing strategy that applies market and competitive intelligence to create revenue generation, remove sales friction, inform the product roadmap and determine the best distribution model, identifying new market opportunities and managing product lifecycles
  • Experience managing against P&L or revenue objectives and building a marketing plan and budget
  • Success in building cross-functional relationships with technical and sales teams to achieve sales/revenue objectives
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate effectively with peers and leaders and provide recommendations and direct feedback
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work; strong problem solver
  • Positive, energetic and creative thinker that is customer-oriented and a self-starter
