What you’ll be doing...

You’ll play a vital role in keeping our wireless network compliant. We’re a Federal Communications Commission licensee, and that comes with a number of legal responsibilities. You’ll help various submarket teams understand the laws and regulations, and you’ll submit documentation to the appropriate regulators on behalf of the business. We take our responsibilities seriously, and you’ll be a key figure in making sure we always meet our legal obligations.

This position ensures that the Verizon Wireless Network remains compliant with its responsibilities and legal obligations as a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensee. You will complete monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting. Also, you will be leading and supporting projects as well as completing audit tasks and support to include confirming that all documentation required to validate compliance with the applicable rule sets are provided and properly completed. This position requires an individual contributor with a strong analytical and technical aptitude coupled with excellent organizational skills and will develop processes with associated documents and training as needed.

  • Work directly with stakeholders to document key performance indicators (KPIs) needed for managing department performance. Use those KPIs to develop, launch and maintain Tableau reporting to be used by front line operators and leadership to make sound decisions by making data simple, accessible and engaging.
  • Support the implementation and management of HQ Network Regulatory and Compliance (HQNRC) reporting to include dashboards of Key Performance Indicators and database development / management. Supports the reporting process that will require working with other team members and departments. Also, the support includes evaluating tools and applications for improving process efficiencies through automation.
  • Utilize Network process knowledge and data analytic techniques to identify gaps and programming issues, offering NSS techniques to bridge gaps between IT developers and the HQNRC Team needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze and develop process, methods, and procedures.
  • Engage internal stakeholders to improve existing processes, including technical form development, reporting enhancements, and stakeholder engagement techniques.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis, special project, and workflow process solutions as requested.
  • Work assigned projects in a lead or support capacity, as assigned and as needed. Perform project management functions including but not limited to engaging and driving key stakeholders on scope participation; establishing milestones and timelines for project and expected deliverables; communicating progress with management and stakeholders; and ensuring due dates are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Support audit objectives and cross functional projects by performing audit processes and related tasks as assigned or as needed.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with FAA and FCC rules and general regulatory procedures.
  • Mapping experience.
  • Knowledge of wireless communications engineering concepts and technologies.
  • Regulatory, Legal and/or Network (Regulatory, Construction, Operations, Assurance) experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with FAA and FCC rules and general regulatory procedures.
  • Mapping knowledge and experience.
  • FUZE and Tableau experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of wireless communications.
  • Understanding of wireless communications' engineering concepts and technologies.
