What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be working with our partners, internal and external, to resolve Accounts Payable issues. Enabling us to run more efficiently by looking for policies or processes that can be further streamlined will also be an important part of your role.   • Monitoring data, producing reports, and conducting account research and reconciliation.
  • Solving or escalating invoice problems that come through the Accounts Payable help desk.
  • Working with vendors, finance teams, and internal customers to resolve Accounts Payable issues.
  • Evaluating current processes and seeking ways to automate further.
  • Supporting system testing and new initiatives.

  • Supporting AP and Verizon internal reporting requests, including identifying proper reporting tool and ensuring automation if possible.
  • Creating Reporting Dashboards to support internal processes and ensure relevant data is accessible to leadership and other process owners.
  • Ensuring all process documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Supporting Cash Forecasting process.
  • Supporting Metrics Reporting process.
  • Performing AP Data Trustee function to ensure appropriate access is granted to requestors.
  • Supporting SCF process through process monitoring dashboard.
  • Supporting management team to ensure task coverage.
  • Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participating in multiple large projects simultaneously and receiving direction from multiple teams.
  • Participating in cross-functional process initiatives.
  • Communicating and interacting efficiently and effectively in a team environment.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Accounts payable and/or general ledger experience.
  • Experience with SAP or PeopleSoft.
  • Experience using Microsoft Access.

  • Experience with quality tools and principles.
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and make recommendations.
  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to consider the 'big picture' when evaluating and recommending alternatives.
  • Flexibility to meet business needs in a changing environment.
  • Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Accustomed to working with deadlines.
  • Experience in Visualization tools.
