What you’ll be doing...

The Project Manager has the overall responsibility of managing and coordinating projects to deliver service to our Customers. These responsibilities include the following:

Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.

  • Proactively review projects and their work requests.
  • Perform daily project follow ups.
  • Spearhead project management for large complex build projects when needed.

Coordinate and schedule resources across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate customer build activities (ex: FTTCS site surveys, equipment delivery/installs, circuit activation) with and on behalf of the customer.
  • Monitor the progress of project builds and escalate as appropriate to internal and external teams.
  • Be the main point of contact throughout the project build lifecycle that will serve as the liaison for providing or verifying critical build information.
  • Provide the customer and account teams with frequent updates and status reports, both written and verbal as required.

Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestone completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions. Identify, monitor, report and escalate project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.

  • Escalate as required to ensure customer requirements and due dates are met.
  • Proactively notify the appropriate management teams when project builds are in jeopardy of not completing on-time.

Maintain excellent communication with Functional Team Members and Direct Management to ensure early identification of issues and a timely reporting of status.

  • Build strong relationships with partners ensuring cohesive cross functional collaboration.
  • Experienced in managing multiple simultaneous projects on time.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • PMP certification.
  • Four of more years of managing Telecommunications network projects.
  • Strong organization skills and proven ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
  • Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Experience managing network projects.
  • Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows and MS Office.
