What you’ll be doing...

As an HR Communications Manager you'll develop and implement internal communication strategies that educate, engage, and inspire employees around Verizon's vision, business priorities and our Credo, Purpose and Promise.

You will collaborate with and provide strategic counsel to leadership and client organizations on optimal communication tactics and channels to engage employees as part of creating a workplace culture that aligns with our Credo and our Commitment and Values; promote an inclusive, ethical and high performance business; support performance management and talent development; encourage health and wellness along with effective benefit utilization, and foster a culture of learning and safety-first mindset across Verizon.

You will also create and implement internal campaigns and multi-media communication strategies by working with subject matter experts on topics that include Benefits & Compensation, Business Ethics, Diversity and Inclusion, Health & Wellness, HR Systems, Change and Performance Management, Safety, Learning & Career Development, and Workplace Culture & the Employee Experience.

In this role you will create, write, edit, post and design content for company websites, infographics, electronic publications, speeches and discussion guides, videos, webcasts and social media platforms. Also create and distribute email messages for enterprise-wide audiences.

Work to continuously improve communication effectiveness by researching industry trends, identifying new strategies for message delivery, and collecting and analyzing data to help correlate how internal communications programs impact employee productivity and organizational performance.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s Degreein English, Journalism, Communications or other related field
  • Five or moreyears of experience in professional writing and managing communications programs
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and proficiency in GSuite and Gmail
  • Experience in developing communications plans and tactics to achieve business objectives
  • Ability to manage deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in managing events like leadership conferences, town halls and webcasts
  • Human Resources functional experience and knowledge of HR systems
  • Experience in change management, brand promotion and global communications
  • Understanding of web design and implementation and content management systems
  • Strong technical writing skill and project management skills
