What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s consumer business transformation organization is seeking a dynamic portfolio manager focusing on prioritization and delivery funnel management of strategic development initiatives.


  • Manage development requests according to business roadmaps/needs.
  • Manage assessment of development initiatives’ readiness for prioritization to be developed.
  • Assessment areas include but not limited to business solution capabilities identified, business & experience approach identified & accepted, business case approved/waived, relative business priority & time window, and development work funnel identified & available.
  • Manage portfolio level business initiatives roadmap and facilitate strategic epic teams delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to facilitate appropriate business capabilities breakdown, work funnels prioritization, and resource allocation. Monitor delivery schedule and status of initiatives to understand what & when values will be available for business/customers.
  • Facilitate business decisions to address challenges with work prioritization or resource allocation.

What we’re looking for...

You are able to keep the big picture in focus as you manage the details to drive business outcomes. You are effective in facilitating business decisions with facts, stakeholders and collaboration.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of program/project management experience with product / service / operation development.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Science, Engineering or Technology.
  • PMI project / program / portfolio management certification.
  • Scaled Agilist or other agile development related certification.
  • Experience in the technology or telecommunications industry.
  • Portfolio management experiencewith product / service / operation development.
  • Four or more years of experience in communicating program/project plan & status in cross-functional team and matrix management environment.
  • One or more years of experience with working with business prioritization of product / service / operation development activities.
  • One or more years of experience working with business capability requirements definition with product / service / operation development activities.
  • Software release management experience.
