As the Manager of Business Intelligence and Reporting, you will be joining Verizon Up, a next level rewards program, providing wireless customers with unforgettable experiences and amazing perks with some of the hottest brands in travel, sports, culinary, fitness, music and entertainment. The objective of Verizon Up is to:

  • Build loyalty and emotional connections to the Verizon brand
  • Drive business outcomes (ex. reduce churn)
  • Position Verizon for industry disruption

As part of the Verizon Up team, you will lead the day to day strategy, execution, roadmap, marketing, operations, partnerships, analytics, reporting, channel engagement and customer experience for the program. We drive momentum internally and externally to drive results, reduce churn, change brand perception, build brand advocacy, and ultimately create a reason for customers to stay with Verizon.

The Manager of Business Intelligence and Reporting will play a key role in loyalty operations, delivery of KPI’s, and related customer intelligence as we enhance the loyalty program framework to further enhance our industry leadership. This is a unique opportunity to work within the Verizon Wireless organization and partner closely with a variety of cross functional teams including VBM, Consumer Marketing Strategy and Analytics, Finance and Accounting, IT, Care organizations and external agencies.

Specifically, you will report to the Verizon Up Head of Offer Strategy, Analytics and Reporting and will support overall program growth through analytical modeling/reporting to deliver and present insights/deep dives for all program KPIs and goals.

You will be responsible for managing, reporting and providing insights for overall program KPI’s, member behavior, churn analysis and much more. As the ideal candidate, you will support overall program growth (awareness, enrollments, engagement) through analytics modeling to drive insights/deep dives for all program KPIs and goals. The role is a balance between standard reporting and ongoing analytical projects focused on creating incremental value for the program.

Examples of ownership for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly KPI Reporting and Analysis – This includes, but is not limited to results in areas of finance, accounting, compliance, engagement, churn, device dollars, accessory sales, Super Tickets, etc.
  • Reward Deep Dives
  • Market Level Reports
  • Maintain and Enhance Dashboard
  • Vendor Reporting
  • Data Table Development
  • Fraud, Audit Lead
  • New reporting development requirements lead & IT POC

What we’re looking for...

You are a team member with a strong growth mindset who wants to marry your technical expertise with your curious marketing mindset. You enjoy working with large amounts of data to gain relevant insights that will drive key decisions for the future of the Verizon Up program. You will effectively communicate findings to a range of internal and external audiences (technical and non-technical).

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant experience working with relational databases and SQL reporting.
  • Experience and comfort with data analysis, statistics, and forecasting, and financial/accounting precepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in statistics, computer science and/or finance related filed.
  • Experience with Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Verizon Data warehouse.
  • Experience with Loyalty programs.
  • Organized and process-oriented.
  • Sense of curiosity and desire to grow a program and add value.
  • Ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen to be able to provide strategic insights and communicate internally and with external agencies.
  • Ability to own project work streams end-to-end and act autonomously.
  • Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, but able to navigate a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working in a matrix organization.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
