What you’ll be doing...

Our network engineering team keeps us ahead of the competition. As an SP Engineer, you’ll be optimizing mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of network to ensure performance fixes and initiatives are in place. You’ll play a key role in making sure our customers continue to enjoy the crystal-clear connections and top-notch call performance that we’re known for.

  • Partnering with RF Design to improve various network KPIs.
  • Using internal tools to analyze data and make engineering decisions
  • Working on new cell sites, making sure the site is properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance.

A committed team player, coaching and developing more junior team members is important to you. Troubleshooting network issues, including device issues masquerading as network issues.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • A valid Driver's license.
  • Knowledge of RF theory and practice, as well as LTE/VoLTE technology.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or Computer science.
  • RF Network System Performance andexperience in RF design Network Assurance Cell OPS or Switch OPS.
  • Knowledge of the 7 Layer OSI model and applicable operation and E2E troubleshooting at the application layer.
  • Experience in design & optimization of LTE/VoLTE networks.
  • Knowledgeof LTE network KPIs and key parameters.
  • Knowledge of various RF tools such as Mapinfo or post processing software.
  • Knowledge Python and other languages.
  • Knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
  • Leading the network into automation using python scripting and network management/orchestration tools.
  • Building methods for detecting network impairment and potential outages before they impact customers.
  • Troubleshooting network issues, including app issues masquerading as network issues.
  • Building and using network troubleshooting tools to isolate network issues across a large multi-site network.
  • Leading complex projects across multiple work groups to improve network reliability and performance.
  • Partnering with network design teams to update the design based on flaws, bugs or improving network performance.
