What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a senior .Net Developer for our Support management application that plays a vital role in the Verizon consumer and business markets. The person who applies will need to enjoy working with client teams and with the development teams because this position will require support for both. There are a large number of groups who use our systems and we have many interfaces with other systems. You will be responsible to know the overall structure of how each of these systems work technically and functionally to ensure help guide development tasks and support updates that will require changes from the development team (i.e. Security updates, issues that require code changes, production support code pushes, etc...)

Responsibilities:

  • Attain deep understanding of the application at the quickest possible time to support day-day Operations.
  • Monitor web service API and file feed processes. Diagnose and report issues to upstream systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve web service API issues reported by downstream systems.
  • Generate ad hoc reports.
  • Deploy code changes to production.
  • Manage desktop application deployments and issues for users.
  • Maintain regular software and server security scans. Work with server administrators and developers to resolve security findings.
  • Verify daily automated job and report processes and re-run as needed. Troubleshoot reporting services configuration issues.
  • Troubleshoot application errors reported by users. Work with developers to fix code issues.
  • Report and resolve system outages.
  • Maintain AWS EC2 instances and rebuild them via CI/CD pipeline.
  • Test code changes from developers. Work with client teams to perform user acceptance testing.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, Javascript/ jQuery/ AJAX web applications.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Experience in Web services (REST API, SOAP).

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Five or more years’ experience with ASP.NET, Javascript/jQuery/AJAX web applications.
  • Five or more years’ experience with IIS web server configuration and troubleshooting, experience with SSL certificates.
  • Five or more years’ experience in complex Application troubleshooting.
  • Five or more years’ experience in SQL Server database administration, performance tuning, and job troubleshooting.
  • Five or more years’ experience in T-SQL, SQL Server stored procedures, Integration Services and Reporting Services.
  • Two or more years’ experience in Web services (REST API, SOAP) or AWS API Gateway.
  • Two or more years’ experience on AWS basics.
  • Two or more years’ experience Understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Two or more years’ experience on Git, Bitbucket/GitHub, and Artifactory.
  • Strong Communication/coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience with Fortify, Black Duck, or other security testing.
  • WCF/ASMX SOAP web service API testing.
  • Ability to communicate with users and developers to discuss system requirements and resolve issues.
