Exciting opportunities exist within the Verizon Global Presales Engineering organization. As a Regional Strategic Distinguished Architect (RSDA), you will be an integral part of a talented team collaborating with our partners and clients on their Digital Transformation. The RSDA is a high-impact role working closely with our partners, account teams and customers to identify and qualify opportunities and design solutions to address customer business challenges.

Verizon Enterprise Solutions is looking for the right person to drive expansion of our ecosystem of Global strategic partners. In this role, the RSDA is a direct report to the Managing Director and is among our highest individual contributor roles. This position has a special focus on developing our business with Palo Alto Networks. You will engage with key contacts at Palo Alto create a seamless mix of solutions combining the best of Palo Alto and Verizon.


You will also:

  • Support the overall strategy for key alliances and target pursuit partners, beginning with Palo Alto..

  • Establish technology project frameworks and best practices.

  • Manage business development function, lead generation, sales stages, and program management.

  • Communicate regularly and with transparency.

  • Establish agreements, incentives, partner enablement, and measures of success.

  • Create collateral and other assets.

  • Set measurable goals and achieve results in a data driven manner.

  • Collaborate with field sales and marketing.

  • Engage in the most exciting and forward-looking projects under the purview of the Security Solution Architect Team.

Travel to customer sites, partner locations, conferences, and other related events as required.

    What we’re looking for...

    • Possess industry relationships with system integrators, SP and other industry related firms.

    • Strong technical acumen of the Cyber Security market.

    • Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks.

    • Exceptional communication skills.

    • Experience managing revenue-generating and cost-management initiatives.

    • Client-facing experience.

    • Enthusiasm for the business aspects of technology.

    • BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent practical experience

    • 10+ years experience as a technical sales engineer in an IT infrastructure environment or equivalent experience in a Client-facing or IT staff role (including working as a member of a professional services or IT engineering team)

    • 2+ years experience with Palo Alto Networks’ products and services

    Even better if you have:

    • MA/MS in business or technology

    • Certifications in Palo Alto technology

    • Experience architecting IT infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.

    • Subject Matter Expertise & certifications in Software Defined Networks, Cloud, Security or Unified Communications

    • Advanced design and experience in networking, applications and security

    • Large scale outsourcing/out-tasking experience
