What you’ll be doing...

The Device Repair and Quality Team is seeking a Program/Project Manager responsible for end to end program management for Verizon’s Same Unit Repair (SUR) Offering. Same Unit Repair is a customer centric transformation of Verizon’s device warranty offering which will allow customers who have experienced a warranty event to choose between getting an advanced replacement device or getting their device repaired in store or by a mobile tech to the location of their choice.

This position will be responsible for the strategy, design and implementation of the go-to market plan, driving customer and field adoption, and the ongoing management of our new Same Unit Repair network. This multi-phased program will drive significant annual savings while increasing take-rates. The role will require interfacing with Care, Retail, Device Marketing, IT, Verizon’s key OEMs and our third party Same Unit Repair provider in order to meet key performance indicators.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

Develop, Lead and Execute upon strategic initiatives

  • Lead the design of SUR, including IT development and integration with OEMs and third party repair vendor, customer experience, component forecasting and logistics plan and pilot design and learnings
  • Design and management of post-repair quality, cost, scrap consumption, accounting for component inventory and Third Party Repair NPS metrics
  • Develop strategy, design and implementation of SUR solutions for In-Warranty Customers including stakeholder engagement with Care and Retail and partnering with our OEMs on cost and operational structure, partnering with internal stakeholders including finance, Business Transformation on business case and customer experience.

Project Management

  • Conceptualize, design and manage multiple complex projects/programs simultaneously to completion; responsible for end to end strategic element of the projects
  • Create cohesive project plans with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones, and manages plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters; Identify key risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Manage cross-functional working teams to effectively execute upon project plans

Market Analysis

  • Research and develop benchmarking to ensure KPIs are met
  • Conduct financial analysis for refurbishment, same unit repair and mobile paradigm
  • Analyze industry trends and best practices to determine value and drive change standardization where appropriate to gain efficiencies

Process Optimization

  • Assess processes to identify process and tool gaps, how to reduce rework, drive greater quality, and improve efficiency and streamline use of process automation
  • Re-engineer the design of existing process and develop new processes; migrate these processes from prototype to production
  • Develop KPI’s to ensure established goals are met and process improvements are sustained and measurable.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Project Management experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s, or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Project Management in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment.
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong team leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated /self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in influencing others.
