What you’ll be doing...

The Optimization and Personalization Vendor Manager is responsible for managing and driving third party personalization and optimization partners to ensure we are maximizing the return on our investments, while also keeping a pulse on new capabilities and services that could complement our suite of capabilities. The individual will be tasked to drive digital sales growth, customer satisfaction and call in rate reduction through partner optimization efforts by removing friction in the use experience and ensuring we apply best in class digital optimization techniques and personalization strategies.

The individual will actively keep a pulse on commerce targets and performance. They will understand the current state of the VZ consumer business, customer expectations, marketplace demands and technology and drive forward profitable growth, creating strong partnerships with vendors, running day-to-day operations, and delivering innovation to improve the customer experience.

You have a broad skill set, with demonstrated career progression and a proven track record of delivering results. You will possess strong analytical acumen, business judgment, strategic negotiation skills, and a propensity to dive deep to solve complex problems. You have a passion for creating a world class shopping experience and understand the competitive and industry landscape. You have the leadership presence and communication skills to effectively work with vendors at all levels of their organization. You are a self-starter and are able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level with a strong attention to detail.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree or Master’s degree in Business /Technology/Marketing /Computer Science or MBA.
  • Digital experience, digital marketing, and digital product management either in a business, agency, or consulting organization.
  • Experience in negotiations and vendor management.
  • Experience in driving strategic negotiations and contract management with external vendors.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and product / capability development.
  • Insight and practical knowledge of digital technologies, products and services and the overall digital ecosystem.
  • Experience with digital optimization and personalization tools, vendors, technologies and processes.
  • Experience creating road maps and detailed financial business cases for change, specifically developing robust business cases to support and prioritize new concepts/opportunities.
  • Ability to conduct meetings, evaluate issues, provide solutions, and drive aggressive timelines.
  • Data analytics experience including ability to use analytics to drive value.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable with complex financial data.
