What you’ll be doing...

Responsible for automation and monitoring production of software application performance including operational stability of the production applications. Automating the day to day production tasks, monitoring, fallout tasks using automated tools and improve operational efficiencies. Liaise with the development team to communicate IT system status and provide updates on current issues. Involved with full software development lifecycle, including functional requirement gathering, design and development, testing of software applications and documenting requirements and technical specifications. Collaborate with internal and external customers, offshore teams and development teams to provide solutions to production issues and fallouts. Monitor production environments to ensure system availability and fix existing monitoring gaps. Work on creating automated processes to improve operational efficiencies. Work on automation, scripting. Create Java tools/portals, reports to resolve system issues, fallouts. Develop job aids, run books, auto–reprocessing scripts, tools, web portals as required. Be point of contact for external client teams and internal business teams and responding them on timely manner on system issues, escalations.

What we’re looking for...

Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience with software application development, testing and deployment using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, SVN, HTML5, Spring MVC, Struts, JQuery, XML, XSLT, XPath, REST, and web portal development and deployment. In lieu of a Master's degree, employer will accept a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the above fields followed by 6 years of progressive experience in the above skill sets. Experience therein to include 4 years with enterprise monitoring tools, administering J2EE based application servers, performance tuning, task automation, UNIX/Linux experience, VI , Shell scripting, and AWK scripting; and 2 years with Level 1 or Level 2 IT support which included monitoring production systems health.
