This role is critical for the business, as it is the main contact point for commission’s related activities and coordinates with broader Verizon centers of excellences, while representing VZConnect’s business needs and requirements. Without this role, VZConnect would lose visibility into the sales employee’s compensation and sales related concerns.

This role supports the Global Sales teams with regards to their sales quota & commissions. This includes working with the Verizon Global Sales Compensation team on Sales Plan initiatives (document publishing, bonus write-ups, broader VZ compliance), with the Verizon Global Commission’s team (commission disputes/inquires, commission system change requests and reporting requirements), with VZConnect Executive team (running the monthly Quota Review meetings and weekly Commission Review Board (CRB) for any commission related changes/disputes/exceptions).

Additional priorities include managing a team of analysts that provide local sales leader support (quota deployment to over 1,000 sales employees globally, monthly performance reviews for quota and target incentive, local training on compensation systems and local support on commission questions.) Other team responsibilities include 1ERP/SFDC consolidation alignment with sales compensation requirements.

This role also must work closely with Sales Operations, Sales Velocity and Human Resources to ensure business priorities and compensation policies/processes are aligned.

Current team consists of 7 full time employees and one contractor.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Office software suite and Salesforce.com.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ten or more years of sales, sales operations or marketing experience, ideally in B2B tech industry.
  • Experience managing and executing successful high-growth sales and marketing plans.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and complex programs in various phases, with ability to continuously measure, analyze, implement and improve progress.
  • Motivated self-starter who can seize opportunities with minimal direction and who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Team-centric mentality with strong communication skills.
  • Data-driven and results oriented.
  • Skills to establish or enhance strategic relationships/partnerships that enable success with:
    • Internal Sales leadership
    • Internal Marketing leadership
    • Internal IT, Finance, Legal, Product teams
    • Third-party providers / consultants
