What you’ll be doing...

This position will lead the program governance for the Integration Management Office (IMO) and partner with the Verizon Business Group (VBG) product, sales, and technology teams to help develop processes and roadmaps to drive the success of these transition efforts. This Business Transformation Sr. Manager (BTM) will report to the Director of Business Transformation and work with business unit leaders and functional leaders at the highest levels within the organization to execute on a wide variety of strategic efforts.

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Drives correlation of overall integration plans, including all the separate integration project milestones, communications plan, and synergy benefits.
  • Defines and manages the integration processes, including functional work plan reviews, cross-functional collaborations, issue management, progress tracking mechanism and executive status updates.
  • Tracks continuous improvements such as measuring and surveying various areas, incorporating feedback into updated integration processes and tools, etc.
  • Convert strategies into detailed actions that align people, process, and systems with integration objectives.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of project plan and ensure each workstream section of the project collaboration plan is kept up to date / reflects the reality of work in progress.
  • Lead integration activities across the combining organizations through a disciplined and structured approach, including functional and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Identify and resolve border issues, decisions, and resource constraints, and escalate to leadership for resolution as needed.
  • Leverage business intelligence analytics to looks for churn data trends and assist business units with creative resolutions.
  • Lead cross-functional weekly team meetings, ensure all project goals and timelines are achieved.
  • Work side by side with Business Units and the Product Organization to track integration efforts.
  • Create and define escalation support process to care for all customer concerns during the integration efforts.
  • Developed actual vs. target weekly dashboards to be utilized at executive updates.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Working with the Director of Business Transformation, provide effective leadership for the initiatives under analysis and execution.
  • Proactively anticipate and work towards mitigating risks to project execution or stakeholder engagement.
  • Align and direct Sr. Leadership team on operational progress and decision points.

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of specialists who are tasked with driving individual workstreams and cross-functional integration based on best in class practices.
  • The role is accountable for leading employee development for direct reports by defining a career path, identifying required development skills, aligning with Verizon developmental plans and conducting ongoing review sessions to manage their progress.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • MBA.
  • Experience in telecom or related industries.
  • Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Go-To-Market experience.
  • Experience in large integration programs.
  • SalesForce Experience.
  • Experience in the development and measurements of KPI’s.
  • Experience working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.
  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
  • Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and use MS Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses.
  • Strategy, operational processes, and customer experience.
  • Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using MS PowerPoint and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
