What you’ll be doing...

This position has the responsibility of overseeing high technical operational teams supporting several high-profile programs within Verizon’s Managed Services organization. This position works directly with executive leadership within the customer environments it supports, in addition to similar leadership within Verizon and various partner engagements (both Verizon- and customer-owned).

Other responsibilities will include people and leadership development, budgeting for the group, strategic planning, project management and being able to present technical concepts to a diverse audience. The successful candidate should be a strategic thinker, customer focused, with a passion and successful track record of building a world class team.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of work experience, within a telecommunications/networking (Routing & Switching, Wireless Lan, and Unified Communications and Collaborations).
  • Experience in addressing customer issues within complex network settings.
  • Experience in handling and managing budget.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Seven or more years of experience in a global senior leadership position.
  • Five or more years of experience in leading global teams with high technical skills.
  • Knowledge on Software Defined Network, Virtual Network Services, and cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Verizon’s product sets.
  • Capability of bringing the most out of the personnel comprising the organization.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic that allows for independent thought and execution.
  • Ability to think creatively to drive efficiencies through the use of technologies or improved processes.
