What you’ll be doing...

We are shaping the ongoing future of how the Wireless business uses media and consumer connections to drive engagement and growth. We are seeking a seasoned Media leader to join our passionate team, to help build the future of media for Verizon. You will partner with the Wireless Business Unit and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to drive sales of Wireless products and services.

With a cutting edge roster of connected devices, rich assets, technologies and data at our fingertips, the Wireless Media Team is poised for continued innovation and best in class media activation. As the acquisition media strategy lead, you will own the paid media campaign that maximizes new account, revenue, and site traffic for Verizon.

  • Acquisition strategy and execution: Define strategies and implement agile digital media plans to drive cost efficient, high performing traffic and sales. (Display/social/mobile and partner with search)
  • Optimization: Aggressively lead the optimization strategies and process to maximize performance
  • New growth: Constantly explore and test tactics to uncover new pockets of demand
  • Measurement: partner to consistently track and report campaign and channel performance and trends to all levels of organization.
  • Driver influence: Identify priority messages, promotions and Customer experience opportunities that act as drivers of digital acquisition performance, and influence optimization decisions.
  • Creative: Partner with creative and customer experience teams to ensure assets are on-strategy and are built with continuous testing in mind
  • Agency management: Lead media agency relationship driving clear outcomes that result in strong business performance and a high performing team.
  • Platform and data: Define targeting and understand and inform media platform utilization and development roadmaps. Includes DSPs, DMPs, and other media tech
  • Budget management: Lead budget management for the digital acquisition channel including campaign allocation, reconciliation and invoice approval.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience on a client marketing team or a media agency.
  • Two or more years of digital direct response campaign experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Ten or more years of consumer marketing/media experience, with a focus on direct response strategy.
  • Experience in developing data driven media strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams for joint, idea led media plans.
  • Strong working knowledge of programmatic media ecosystem
  • Strong working knowledge of paid search
  • Ability to convey complex media concepts to marketing generalists
  • Keyboard programmatic buying experience.
  • Experience developing national and local campaigns
  • Ability to understand business strategies and correlate business outcomes to media actions.
  • Passion for driving results and innovating along the way.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and balance multiple dynamic priorities.
  • Influential storytelling skills, verbally and written.
