What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s Device Supply Chain is looking for an Onsite Operations Manager, who is responsible for managing 3PL relationship and also managing the Distribution Center (DC) Operations. The On-Site Operations Manager position is responsible for 3PL vendor management and oversight of the Verizon’s DC Operations in East Coast. This includes inbound receiving, picking, and shipping and ensures inventory controls are in place.

This position is responsible for oversight of millions of pieces shipped annually to our customers, stores and indirect agents. This position will require an in depth knowledge of warehousing and logistics space and ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously. The position is responsible for implementing best practices, process improvements and state of the art security infrastructure and controls to ensure the safety and security of the product.

Partner with 3PL to ensure the vendors are performing to contractual obligations regarding on-time shipping, order accuracy, inventory management, and reporting. Provide detailed shipping forecasts by channel, by day to position our vendors for successful fulfillment to all customers. Strategically support the replenishment of inventory to stores and systemic enhancements to the DC Order Automation process. Establish new KPI's and reporting tools to measure warehouse efficiencies and cost impacts to Verizon.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or in a related field.
  • Six or more years’ of work experience.
  • Excellent forward thinking and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of managing a product portfolio.
  • Ability to partner with internal and external vendors.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lead large scale projects and handle multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and follow up skills.
  • Worked well independently and with team members.
  • Capability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills and capability to implement process improvements.
  • SAP experience.
