What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for Inter-Office (IOF) provisioning within the Core Network Engineering team of Verizon. You will be identifying network facilities that provide paths throughout our central offices. The circuit route provides a transport path between two terminating locations used to connect and operate a circuit (low and/or high bandwidth). The circuit route is designed using TIRKS which is an inventory record-keeping and provisioning system. A Planning Design Access Code, or PDAC, is what is created by IOF provisioning engineers to represent a unique route between two points in the network. This position is unique to DS3 traffic in network. Today traffic is provisioned inside legacy equipment via TIRKS but in the future it will involve migrations into the new equipment and systems as well as provisioning new service orders in the new systems.
