What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager will direct a team focused on support of our indirect sales organizations across Verizon Business Group with an emphasis on the Channel Partner Program Compliance Office for US and International Agents, Outbound Telemarketing Agents, Resellers, System Integrators or Referral Partner. The team drives the execution of the program as well as continuous improvements for common compliance processes across different partner motions.

This leader will drive the strategy of his/her team, partnering with global cross-functional teams to monitor compliance program controls and processes, identify risks, analyze the current processes and controls, collaborate with key individuals to develop remediation plans, monitor implementation of remediation efforts, report on effectiveness and ensure sustainability of processes going forward.

This role is part of the Operational Assurance team which partners with stakeholders across functional teams including CISO, Program Management, Legal, Sales, Operations and Audit to ensure processes and internal controls are in place to meet requirements imposed by government bodies, regulators, industry mandates or internal policies in order to meet our contractual commitments to our customers/partners.

Key objectives are as followed:

  • Manage the compliance program activities across many channel sales motions to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives
  • Demonstrate experience in issue identification and issue management
  • Work closely with global Partner Program Offices to understand their partner strategies to simplify and implement consistent compliance activities across the different organizations.
  • Work with other stakeholders, such as internal audit to plan engagement strategy, define objectives, and address technology-related controls risks
  • Maintain active communication with internal teams to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
  • Complete all required performance documents and conduct associated performance discussions (performance agreement/objectives, mid-year review, and year-end review) by required deadlines.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of experience in managing aspects of the overall Risk, Governance and Compliance process, including, but not limited to, control evaluation and testing methodologies, and other Operational Internal Control methodologies and terminology.
  • Leadership experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Six or more years of experience with of Indirect Sales and Channel Partner programs.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills.
