What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a passionate cyber security lead to oversee the operations of our network based vulnerability scanning technologies. This will require both the technical ability to architect large scale solutions and the interpersonal skills to oversee effective inter/intra departmental collaborations to ensure effective operations. The selected candidate will act as the program lead, handling escalations, discussing continued evolutions and owning the underlying platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of network vulnerability scanning, within policy framework. Put solutions in place to ensure that the solution is operating as intended and any business questions or issues are addressed timely.
  • Identification and remediation of “gaps” in scan completeness.
  • Serve as program lead for escalations and SME for addressing failed, incomplete or contested scan results.
  • Translate technical results to business impact and required actions.
  • Architect solutions to expand the scans to other areas, departments, or technologies (i.e. cloud)
  • Bringing new solutions / improvements to management for review.
  • Ensure that results are correctly tracked and reported.
  • Presentation to cross-functional stakeholders and Sr. leadership to ensure the awareness of and ongoing success of the vulnerability reporting and management programs.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have...

  • A degree.
  • Experience with network vulnerability scanning.
  • Experience with credentialed, host based and application layer scan technologies.
  • Knowledge of security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities. Knowledge with common security frameworks (SOX, NIST, FISMA, etc.)
  • Experience to the full stack of information technologies and associated security models - including server/OS, database, hardware, network devices, user compute, application/SDLC, etc.
  • Multi-departmental project/program management experience.
  • Experience working with cyber security and vulnerability management at a large company.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented & organized approach, excellent communication, developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate client and program needs into requirements.
  • Knowledge of compliance best practices and knowledge in implementing programs for maintaining compliance for a highly regulated business environment.
  • Previous experience working with a non-IT business segment.
  • Experience with the telecommunications industry.
