What you’ll be doing...

The position of Business Operations support will be the chief of staff supporting the Southeast Field Engineering Director. The Southeast Field Engineering team covers the One Fiber build as well as out-of-franchise business as usual activity. This is a high-visibility role to act as the Director’s “right-hand” and harness the Southeast Field Engineering team to deliver its objectives.

Specific tasks would include the following:

  • Design, develop and deliver strategies and initiatives around organizational reporting for all aspects of the Southeast Field Engineering team. Reporting includes but is not limited to weekly and monthly commitments, headcount, capital and expense tracking, vendor management, and training and recognition.
  • Manage all aspects of the capital and operational expense budget.
  • Executive Business Operations reporting to include: dashboards, presentations and ad hoc requests.
  • Analyze metrics, identify and communicate trends by department. Identify opportunities and make recommendations for process improvement as it relates to automation of metrics and incorporation of reporting.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and leadership team to integrate business processes throughout the organization. Facilitate processes that create consistency and standardization.
  • Culture: Gather training and development needs for the organization. Track and develop recognition incentive program for meeting operational targets.
  • Craft communication cadence internally that communicates shared goals within the organization. Foster collaboration and Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase business efficiency.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years or relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Five or more years of experience in Network Engineering.
  • Experience with the OneFiber program/or Wireless engineering or program management.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker who can analyze data to make appropriate process/business decisions/recommendations and shape business strategy.
  • Team player and leader who can effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to senior levels of management.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams and maintaining accountability for major business initiatives.
  • Excellent data visualization and creative PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent PC skills: Advanced PowerPoint and Excel, Word, Visio. Engineering tools a plus: FIM, NAR, FUZE, Cofee.
  • Self-starter that learns and adapts quickly to frequently changing priorities.
  • This leader could have direct reports and/or contractors reporting to him/her.
