What you’ll be doing...

The FTTP Project Manager has the overall responsibility of managing and coordinating projects to deliver service to our Customers. These responsibilities include the following:

Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.

  • Proactively review of FTTP projects in the working month and future months ahead
  • Perform daily project management follow ups
  • Spearhead project management for large complex build projects in NYC as it related to the FTTP / NSI buildout.

Coordinate FTTP jobs with the various teams in order to establish a schedule across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and objectives.

  • Update Engineering & Construction build activities in various MMS & FTTP Tracker systems
  • Hold weekly project management calls to monitor the progress of project builds and escalate as appropriate to internal and external teams.
  • Be the main point of contact throughout the project build lifecycle that will serve as the liaison for providing or verifying critical build information.
  • Provide the teams involved with frequent updates and status reports, both written and verbal as required.

Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestone completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions. Identify, monitor, report and escalate project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.

  • Escalate as required to ensure customer requirements and due dates are met.
  • Proactively notify the appropriate management teams when project builds are in jeopardy of not completing on-time.

Maintain excellent communication with Functional Team Members and Direct Management to ensure early identification of issues and a timely reporting of status.

  • Build strong relationships with partners ensuring cohesive cross functional collaboration.
  • Experienced in managing multiple simultaneous projects on time.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Four of more years of managing Telecommunications network projects.
  • Strong knowledgebase in Outside Plant Engineering with FTTP.
  • Engineering, Planning and Operations knowledge of Telecommunications local and long-haul networks.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple, often conflicting priorities to successful completion.
  • Experience making independent decisions based on policies, practices and project requirements.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience managing network projects.
  • Knowledge of PC and software applications including Windows and MS Office.
