What you’ll be doing...

As the Supply Chain Strategic Operations Manager in End-to-End Supply Chain and Supply Chain Corporate Social Responsibility, you will work with an extended team to help to develop and document operational flows to ensure excellence in manufacturing products and successfully bringing them to market and to further enhance Verizon’s ability to execute repeatedly on strict project timelines. You will also participate in developing and implementing various Supply Chain Corporate Social Responsibility programs, as well as providing support for a variety of special projects.

  • End to end Supply Chain Touchpoints: From Manufacturer to Warehouse to Customer to Reverse Logistics.
  • Assessing, documenting, and socializing best practices among Supply Chain peers.
  • Systematizing/optimizing operations within the Contract Manufacturing/Quality Organization, as well as with other associated organizations.
  • Participating in the development, launch, and sustaining of the Supply Chain Responsible Manufacturing Program and the Supply Chain Responsible Manufacturing Supplier of Choice Program, supporting Verizon’s engagement with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Facilitating meetings; building positive relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and management; developing process documentation and metrics.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience related to the manufacturing and use of telecommunications or related devices.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain best practices; understanding common needs and challenges of the business.
  • Excellent Project/Program Management skills for successful project delivery.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Three years of experience related to the manufacturing and use of telecommunications or related devices.
  • High motivation with self-starter abilities.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills with the capability to distill complicated messaging into clear, simple, single-page slides with clear visualizations.
  • Knowledge of Verizon Network operations and/or Network Supply Chain.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of and implementation experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel.
