What you’ll be doing...

Verizon’s consumer video product strategy is dynamically evolving based on marketplace dynamics, and an infusion of new technology and solutions for customers to fully realize the benefits/superiority of our core services, including 5G Home, Fios Video & Broadband and Wireless data. Potential applications include the development of Verizon streaming device(s), creating a video platform capable of driving user engagement, and assembling a best in class content lineup through both Oath and industry-leading vMVPD, SVOD, and AVOD partner apps. These video solutions will be designed to create differentiated experiences that produce new revenue for Verizon’s wireline and wireless business units.

As CMS product manager, you will be responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Content Curation and Creative Services teams to deliver the best content in the industry to Fios and 5G OTT users. The Content Management System is responsible for what and where content will be displayed within Verizon video interfaces, across all platforms. It serves a critical function in helping users find the content they already love, as well as discover new and existing programming. The CMS tools are an imperative part of the overall user experience, and defining the capabilities of that tool will ensure that users are seeing and interacting with highly personalized, relevant, and engaging.


  • Define the strategy, features, and roadmap for the CMS tool.
  • Work closely with the internal design team to help design the user experience to support current and future features, including the creation of detailed user journeys.
  • Define the services and algorithms needed to support specific collections and queries.
  • Interact with the content curation team to understand the specific needs of the business related to merchandising and promoting content, and turning those into CMS requirements.
  • Work closely with the creative services and UX teams to understand image requirements to ensure curation and storage needs are met within the CMS.
  • Work with engineering and program management teams to define clear product backlogs, ensure acceptance criteria is clearly understood, and manage the development process to ensure features are delivered on time and as-specified.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
  • Experience in video or content product management or product operations.
  • Knowledge of content metadata and content ingestion workflows.
  • Clear communicator that can convert qualitative requests into concrete algorithms and queries.
  • A passion for movies and television.
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Agile development methodologies.
